Paintings
Taylor Apple is a contemporary painter whose work explores how joy, memory, and identity take shape across different environments. Drawing from personal experience and everyday life, her paintings look at what it means to belong.
She works in both black-and-white and color, using contrast, repetition, and gesture to show how different feelings can exist at the same time—like play and tension, or past and present.
Influenced by animation and familiar imagery, she breaks apart and rebuilds forms to create spaces that feel recognizable but open to interpretation.
Her paintings hold memory and a sense of “home,” inviting viewers to reflect on their own experiences while connecting to shared stories.
